REGISTRATION NOTE***

PERMIT TECHNICIAN (COAP 102):  Registration is open to all current students of the WABO COAP program.

BUILDING INSPECTOR (COAP 202): Registration is open to all current students of the WABO COAP program.

PLANS EXAMINER (COAP 302): Registration is open to all current students of the WABO COAP program.

DUAL REGISTRATION: Registration is open to all current students of the WABO COAP program.

CLASS REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for the WABO Code Official Accreditation Program is $360 per quarter. There are three (3) quarters to complete a year to earn a Certificate of Completion.

$360 x 3 = $1,080 per year

Upon successful completion of each quarter the student does have the opportunity to apply for the WABO scholarship that may reimburse up to 50% of the registration fee.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Upon successful completion of each year the student will be awarded a WABO Code Official Accreditation Program Certificate of Completion.

CERTIFICATE OF ACCREDITATION

Upon successful completion of each year if the student has completed the required International Code Council (ICC) certificates the student will be awarded a WABO Code Official Accreditation Program Certificate of Accreditation. CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEU's)

WABO is an International Code Council (ICC) Chapter and Preferred Provider. Each Code Official Accreditation Program class is registered with ICC for Continuing Education Units (CEU's). Upon successful completion of each quarter the student will earn 3 CEU's for a total of 9 units possible each academic year. The student will be award the CEU's with the Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of each academic year.

CLASS WITHDRAWAL POLICY

A student may withdraw from class at any time during the quarter and receive no credit or CEU's. Withdrawal notice must be submitted in writing to the WABO office by mail or email, the instructor cannot withdraw a student. Without written notice the student continues to be enrolled in class, attendance and course work will be expected. A student who stops attending class and does not properly withdraw will receive a grade of "F". Once proper notification is given, the student will be removed from the class roster. Students working towards certificates of completion and accreditation will need to re-register and complete class when offered next. The student may be eligible for all or partial refund of fees (See Class Refund Policy) and will not be eligible for scholarship reimbursement for the class.

CLASS REFUND POLICY

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the WABO office. Refunds will be given as follows:
Day 1 - 7 (Week 1): 90%, Day 8 - 14 (Week 2): 75%, Day 15 - 21 (Week 3): 50%, Day 22+ (Week 4 and Beyond): NO REFUND

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Washington Association of Building Officials is pleased to offer the Code Official Accreditation Program Scholarship.
All scholarship applications are due no later then 30 days from the date final grades are to be posted.
